What is LUI and who needs it?

LUI itself is just a Site-Builder with a few functions. The real power come through the Connectors, which you can include in Products like Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O LUI runs almost exclusively in your Browser. We store your Components and manage the Communication with the Connector, in case you use one.

How does LUI work?

Authentication and Authorization

LUI is based on Companies, but it's more like an organisational structure, to separate customers. You can have more than one Company area, if necessary, for example for Test and Produktion.

Every Company has to Access-Layers, Admins and Users. Admins design and decide how it looks and what it does. User are the people who work with the Design.

Because LUI itself does not operate inside the cloud or a distant device, it doesn't mind about Authentication and Authorization. This part resides in the Product or Service in which you integrate LUI.


Integration

LUI will show your content unfiltered in a Sandbox, that allows to execute everything as you intended. This Sandbox can speak with LUI and allows almost direct Communication with either LUI or the product in the Background.

Everything is message-based and allows an easy text-based usage of formats like JSON.


Storage

The Files are stored in Microsoft Azure and are encrypted at rest. LUI will pull all Data to the client-side and will store it also locally.

Every LUI Instance receive a unique „shared access signature (SAS)“ with the least needed Permissions and a role based lifetime. That means every Client can directly interact with the Storage.

Confidential or sensitive Data should not be stores, as there is no Security-Mechanism in place which provides enough Protection.
